Tank heroes are finally getting all-star love. Every year for that Overwatch In the league’s all-star games, two heroes receive exclusive skins that match the respective teams in the league. This year the tanks D.Va and Reinhardt received star treatment.
The skins were revealed on September 13th Overwatch League broadcast. The new skin of D.Va, which represents the Asia region, gives the pilot silver hair and a blue body. Their mech is in similar colors and accented with neon blue and gold details.
Reinhardt’s new skin feels a little more organic, as his usual chrome outfit has been replaced with wood and copper armor. Since he’s representing North America this year, the green details on this skin match the color scheme for the region. The skin appears to have a herbal theme, which could be a clue for future All-Star jerseys.
In a year where tanks were mostly listed as the cornerstone of every single competitive meta, it almost feels right for them to get this year’s All-Star Skin Treatment.
Mercy and Lucio received skins for the All-Stars-Event 2019. These skins reflected the gold and the deep blue of the Pacific and Atlantic teams respectively. In the first year of the all-star event, Tracer and Genji rocked fiery skins.
The Overwatch The League All-Stars event technically consists of two different events that take place over two weekends. On September 26th, players from the Asia region will compete against each other in their All-Stars-Event. The North American All-Stars event begins October 3rd. The players were selected for the All-Stars participation via a fan voting system.
