Sony published the user interface for the PlayStation 5 in a blog post describing the new features of the next-gen console.

Another feature called Activities is designed to bring you closer to the key elements of gameplay. Activities are shown via control cards in the Control Center, so you can discover new ways to play, return to missed things, jump straight into levels or challenges you want to play, and much more. Some activity cards can be put into picture-in-picture mode so you can view them without leaving the game. “
Overall, it looks like Sony designed the user interface so that users minimally wait or switch between games and other activities.
