TL; DR: Starting September 16, you can pre-order the new Apple Watch Series 6 from Best Buy, Amazon, or Apple from $ 399. The cheaper SE series can now be pre-ordered exclusively from Amazon and the Apple Store from USD 279.

2020 continues to surprise, but this time in a good way.

Apple didn’t reveal one, though two New Smartwatches via livestream during the product event on Tuesday: the Apple Watch Series 6 and the cheaper Series SE. Both are available for pre-order from the Apple Store and Amazon starting at $ 399 and $ 279, respectively, for a September 18 release. However, we recommend looking around if you are interested in the Series 6.

The Series 6 has several new features (compared to the 2019 Series 5 model) including an SpO2 sensor that can monitor your blood oxygen levels and a brighter display that is always on with an altimeter or altimeter. There’s also a chic new dual-core processor in its aluminum frame, making it 20% faster than its predecessor, and a faster charge that gets you up to 80% juice in just an hour. (The battery life is still about 18 hours for all-day use.)

The Series 6 can be pre-ordered from Apple, Amazon and Best Buy starting at US $ 399 for the GPS version and US $ 499 for a version with LTE connectivity. But if we were you, we’d order it from the latter: Best Buy is giving away six months of free Apple Fitness + when you buy a portable Apple, compared to the three free months you’d get if you pre-ordered directly from Apple. (Amazon doesn’t list fitness + freebies on their product pages, FWIW.)

Apple Watch Series SE

Coming in a ton of cool new colors, Apple bills the new SE series smartwatch as a wallet-friendly option that doesn’t cut the specs too far. The design is almost the same as that of the Series 6, just with a processor from last year and no SpO2 sensor, permanently on display or heart rate monitor. (The always-on altimeter, fall detection, and emergency SOS are still there, however.)

Order one from Amazon or the Apple Store starting at $ 279 for GPS only and $ 329 for cellular connections.
