Project a 100-inch HD image on the wall for $ 825 (no installation required)

Ultra short throw projectors are the wave of the future.

Projectors are fantastic for home theaters, because who does not want a 100-inch screen (or more)? Mounting and positioning, of course, can be a big challenge, and when you go in front of the light bulb, there is always annoying shading.

Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors, which I predict will become very popular in the coming years. That's because they sit directly against the wall, not opposite. No more shadows and no cables through the ceiling. Everything is just on your TV stand, just like a TV.

Currently, UST projectors are rare and prices can be high. That's why I'm excited about this deal: For a limited time and while supplies last, HD Vision Works has delivered the Optoma GT5600 Ultra Short Throw 1080p Projector for $ 825 with promo code SAVE50 . Price currently on the site without code, $ 875; everywhere else $ 1,099.

This is a small outfit, and I have no idea how much inventory is available. You could have 50 of them, they could have five. Even if they're upset with the promo code (which apparently has not been valid for President's Day for a long time), $ 875 is still the best price by far.

The GT5600 is a 1080p DLP projector with two HDMI inputs, an integrated 16-watt speaker and support for Android / iOS mirroring (via USB or wireless). It even supports 3D, although you need special glasses and who 3D is really interested.

CES 2019: Adok is a touch screen projector that looks like …

I recently had a chance to work with one of these models, but only for a few minutes and only with a Roku streaming stick. First impression: great. Huge, colorful projection; super bright image even with the lights on; nice remote control with backlight.

The sound of the built-in speaker was loud but not great – you'll almost certainly want external speakers or a soundbar. And you can only retreat until you can not focus properly. So do not expect to be much taller than 100 inches.

As if there was something wrong? This is a screen with a screen diagonal of 8 m, without the usual projector problems. I hope I have more time with the GT5600 so I can give you a more comprehensive overview, but for the moment I'm just saying the following: If you think (like me), UST is the way to go without a doubt one of the best deals to date today.
