Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward is reportedly planning to turn her £ 14.5 million mansion into a luxury spa retreat.

The 47-year-old reality star has finally received planning permission to begin work on Warford Hall, which will include an expansion for a pool complex and additional guest rooms.

Dawn and her husband Ashley have been struggling to sell what some call a mini-village mansion for more than five years after claiming it costs £ 100,000 a year in utility bills and have now filed papers with their plans to start one major renovation on the property.

According to The Sun, the Cheshire East Council has given the couple permission to begin work on their mansion

The construction work must be completed within three years of receiving the building permit. However, to avoid complaints from neighbors, the swimming pools can only be used between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and loud music is prohibited in the gardens.

The council also imposed strict rules on food odors and other fumes to protect neighbors.

Warford Hall was designed by W Roberts and built in 1897 from soft Cheshire red brick and clad in Alderly Edge stone.

The new expansion would include a heated pool, spa facilities and hotel rooms for up to 30 people.

In documents, planning agents Arista Design Ltd said: ‘Warford Hall would remain a building of the highest caliber and benefit from a significant modernization and landscaping investment to create stunning grounds.

“The proposal is to change the use of Warford Hall from an apartment with side offices to a luxury boutique spa retreat.”

However, the plans were challenged by some of Dawn’s neighbors. One complained, “We refuse because the venue is inevitably looking to become a nighttime drinking and partying destination that would bother anyone who lives in the Warford Hall area.”

A Dawn Ward representative declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

Warford Hall has been on the market since 2013. The seller did not disclose the market price. However, the property was listed as publicly traded in 2015 for around £ 14.5m in 2015.
