Samsung Galaxy S10 Proximity Sensor Bug wakes the phone in the pockets

Proximity sensors are sensors that we normally find in our cell phones today. In most cases we have not really given them much thought, but if they do not work as intended, it can be annoying what some Samsung Galaxy S1

0 users find. It appears that some users find that the proximity sensor on their phones does not work as intended because of a bug.

For those unfamiliar with the functionality of a proximity sensor, it helps to turn off the device's phone screen when you hold it to your ear during a call. However, users think this works fine on the front, but stowing it in the bag somehow prevents the phone's screen from turning off, which causes the battery to discharge more than it should.

Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case rectifying the problem at the moment. Even users who lower the sensitivity of the screen find that it still does not work. Samsung has not yet officially commented on the problem, so it is unclear whether it is a hardware problem or a software issue that can be fixed with a patch.

Hopefully, the company will take note of these issues and may fix them soon, provided that they are software.
