Samsung notebook 9 Pro released with less specifications than "pen"

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro was announced after its first presentation at the CES 2019 with a release date and a price. This device was presented alongside a relatively near hardware called the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen. The strange thing about these devices is the fact that all models can work with one pen – it's just that the pen model has an official S-Pen while the pro uses an "Active Pen".

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro features a 13.3-inch Full HD display with a 6.7 mm aperture and a brightness of up to 350nits. This is just a little more than the pen version of the device, which comes with a 13 or 15 inch display. The Pro is equipped with an Intel Core i7 processor of the 8th generation (8565U) and either 8 GB or 1

6 GB LPDDR3 RAM.

There are two versions of the Notebook 9 Pro, both with the same display. The smaller of the two has 256 GB of PCIe NVMe internal memory, while the larger one has 512 GB. Both are equipped with the same processor and the above RAM, respectively: smaller to smaller, larger than the larger one.

Both units weigh approximately 2.84 kg and both have the same dimensions of 12.1 x 8.1 x 0.55 inches. The Notebook 9 Pro is equipped with 2x Thunderbolt 3 ports, 1x USB-C port, a combination headphone / microphone port and a microSD card slot, regardless of configuration.

This notebook is made of aluminum and glass, comes with an HD camera above its display and has 2x 1.5 W speakers. This notebook includes a fingerprint reader and a fully backlit keyboard.

The lower of these two Samsung Notebook 9 Pro configurations costs the end user about $ 1,100. The grandfather costs about $ 1,300 USD, and no one should make the mistake of believing that the word "pro" means a device that is more impressive than a device of the same brand called "Pen". Take a close look at the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen if you dare – do not be too shocked!
