Starting today and ending on November 25th, REI will hold its annual pre-Black Friday equipment sales. Like many of his other sales, the offerings are wide and come from well-known brands such as Patagonia, Rossignol, Arc'teryx, Yakima and many others. The amount you save varies, but a substantial stock is available for a discount of at least 20% to 30%, with some items being cut by at least 40%.
Like last year, REI brings back its special promotion for members. If you use the code GEARUP2019 during the sale, you can save an additional 20% on a full price item that is not included in equipment sales, plus an additional 20% on a single REI outlet item.
Depending on what you buy, it may make sense to spend the extra $ 20 on lifelong co-op membership, especially if you use the codes to buy something big, such as a new pair of skis or snowboards. As we understand it, the code can be used immediately once you become a member.
This year's top offers – some of the key offer savings – we've heard of offers for Wallace's own clothing and Trail Pod sleeping bags. But that should not be too shocking, because REI usually does that in most years. Here are the best deals we have seen so far.

Arc & Terryx
Arc & teryx is not cheap, so if you can find it on sale, it's a great idea to use those sales when they happen. The brand is known for some of the best winter outerwear and some of the warmest. The insulation techniques of the brand are first class and we have never been cold in any of the coats we tested.

Looking for a new smartwatch? REI offers several models of Garmin's popular fitness smartwatches as part of its sale. These watches are a perfect gift for those looking for a more watch-oriented smartwatch than apps, although some of the high-end models work just as well as any Apple or Samsung smartwatch.

Patagonia jackets are easily recognizable by their distinctive bright colors and their bloated appearance. Although not as expensive as Arc'teryx, they are still much more expensive than the average department store jacket. But jackets are not the only thing Patagonia does – it offers a wide range of comfy garments, from pullovers to hoodies and parkas. We have found a few outstanding offers that we would like to share with you.

Winter is upon us and when it comes to skiing there is not much choice in equipment and drop-off sales. REI has some excellent offers from Rossignol on offer, mainly in the Beginner Ski category. One of the skis, the Experience 76s, is a slightly wider (and last year) version of the skis we would recommend as part of our list of the best skis for 2019-20.
