See how the Porsche Taycan EV flies over the track in the new season of ‘Top Gear’.

“It has no right to drive like this.”

That’s the excerpt from the upcoming episode of BBC America Top gear when show host Chris Harris takes the Porsche Taycan for a spin. The German automaker’s first fully electric vehicle came to the US at the beginning of the year after its European debut. It̵

7;s not a racing car, but a four-door sporty EV that is often compared to the fastest Tesla Model S sedan (except in price).

Harris took the 5,000 pound Taycan with a range of about 200 miles around the UK circuit and pushed it so far that his kidneys ached. You can see it “spin” the electric battery and motor to their limit (and up to 120 mph) in the clip above.

The Taycan has an ongoing rivalry with Tesla, despite the fact that the Porsche EV beat Tesla’s Model S on the track. At least Tesla and its die-hard supporters can boast better battery range.

When Harris says that “the electric future is not only going to be fast but also seriously exciting,” he could also refer to the charged tension between the two automakers and their loyal fans.

A new 2021 Taycan will be available early next year: the “budget” model, the Taycan 4S, which is supplied with a 79.2 kWh power battery.

The Taycan is presented in episode 3 Top gearSeason 28 begins Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America.
