Sony’s redesigned PlayStation webshop doesn’t sell PS3, Vita, or PSP games

The web and mobile versions of the PlayStation Store are going through a major overhaul, but not everything in the store will make the transition.

On Thursday, Sony emailed PlayStation customers to inform them that items such as PlayStation 3 games, PlayStation Vita games, PSP games, avatars, apps and themes are no longer available on the web or mobile versions of the PlayStation Store. The other feature that disappears from both the web shop and the mobile store is the wish list.

All of these items will disappear from the PlayStation webshop when they are released on mobile devices from October 21

-26 and October 28. According to Sony’s PlayStation support website, these features could be leaving the mobile and web store as early as October 19. Fortunately, these items aren’t going away forever. You can still purchase games and add-ons for these consoles by logging into PlayStation Store directly from the console in question. Apps, avatars and themes can still be purchased in the PlayStation 4 version of the store.

Sony adds that any previously purchased content can still be downloaded on your PS3, PSP, or PS Vita.
