The team will prioritize the media that first report a specific message and give the local media the highest priority for local news. However, members can only highlight something if two publications on the same story have published, if they are based on an "unfounded report". They are also instructed not to show stories intended to "provoke, divide and polarize", unless they are "fact-based stories based on journalistic standards".
On Facebook, a "variety of votes" with a number of topics and publishers is sought. The social network in the note also reportedly clarified that it will instruct curators not to censor bad news about the company itself and to "impartially share stories through Facebook, Facebook executives, and technology in general."
