It looks like we now have a launch date for Google Pixel 5 after the search giant sent out invites to a live stream event in late September.
We were invited to Google on Wednesday September 30th to attend the #LaunchNightIn event. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. (PT) / 2:00 p.m. (ET) / 7:00 p.m. (BST) (that’s 4:00 a.m., October 1st in Australia).
More interestingly, though, Google has confirmed what it will show at the event and that it will be more than the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G – which were previously confirmed to have arrived this year.
The invitation is: “We invite you to learn all about our new Chromecast, our latest smart speaker and our new Pixel phones.”

Pixels plus more
More interesting about the heavily rumored Pixel 5 and a 5G version of the already tested Google Pixel 4a are the additional products that have been confirmed for the kick-off event.
This means that we can see the Google Chromecast Ultra 2, the rumored 2nd generation 4K streaming device from Google that will be the successor to the Chromecast Ultra.
Rumors have also been circulating about the Chromecast Ultra 2, and the TV dongle could get two major improvements over the original. Android TV and a fully functional remote control.
However, there is less information on the new Google Nest speaker. So it will be interesting to see if Google offers us a successor to Home Mini, Home, Home Max, Home Hub, Nest Hub Max or a completely new offering.
The good news is that it won’t take us long to wait and we’ll be reporting live to bring you all of the new phones, speakers, and dongles that Google has to offer on Wednesday September 30th.
