Coming to Oculus Quest and PC.
Developer Cyan Worlds is redesigning its groundbreaking CD-ROM adventure Myst for VR and will be heading to Oculus Quest later this year. A PC release will follow.
The new Myst VR remake by Cyan Worlds is described as a “reinterpretation” of the original from 1993 – the second time the developer has revisited his adventure classic after the 3D adaptation of RealMyst from 2000 – and promises new graphics, audio , Interactions and even a random puzzle option for those looking for more of a challenge.
This isn’t Cyan’s first foray into VR, of course; Obduction offers wonderful atmospheric, if rather flawed, VR support for those with the appropriate hardware, and the developer is also working on the VR-exclusive firmament due out next year.
The new VR version of Myst will be released this December on Oculus Quest, priced at $ 29.99. A PC version – which includes 2D support – will follow.
