Apple introduced the new iPhone SE back in March and brought the latest A13 Bionic processor and the familiar 4.7-inch form factor of the iPhone 8. Rumors say that Apple has a “Plus” version of the new iPhone SE in the works . and a new accessory listed on Best Buy today indicates the existence of that product.
We wouldn’t read too much into this new listing at Best Buy, but it suggests an iPhone SE Plus 2020 product. The listing itself refers to a protective glass film from the brand Insignia for the iPhone SE Plus. Of course, the timing here is a big suspect as Apple will be holding a special event in a few hours.
March, 9to5Mac reported code in iOS 1
The iPhone SE Plus is expected to have a 5.5-inch design that is practically identical to the iPhone 8 Plus. After Apple introduced the iPhone SE in March, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were also discontinued. This means that there is no Plus option available for buyers who want an iPhone with a home button.
Ultimately, we wouldn’t be too excited about this new listing at Best Buy. Accessory manufacturers have no indication of when Apple might be releasing a new product, and this Insignia listing might just be an example of Best Buy planning for the iPhone SE Plus just in case it will be announced today.
