Poco is in the process of adding another smartphone to its growing portfolio, this time with the Poco X3. Launched globally earlier this month, it will launch in India on September 22nd at 12:00 noon.
The Poco X3 was marketed as a competitor to the OnePlus Nord. In India, however, the device is also expected to compete against Realme 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy M51 and Oppo F17 Pro. If the teasers have something to offer, the phone will cost around 20,000 rupees in India.
Poco X3 India specifications (expected)
Some rumors suggest that the Indian variant of the Poco X3 will have slightly different specs. Since this is currently not very clear, you can find the specifications of the global variant for the context here.
On the inside, you get the latest Snapdragon 732G chipset from Qualcomm. It’s a slightly improved version of the Snapdragon 730G that was present on the Poco X2. The graphics are taken from the Adreno 618 GPU. This is paired with 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage.
However, in India we can also expect an 8 GB RAM variant. Since this is a game-centric chipset, you also get LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus, plus copper heat pipe and graphite to keep thermals under control. The device is powered by a 5,160 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging support via the type C connection.
With the Poco X3, you see a 6.67-inch Full HD + LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. You get TÜV Rheinland certified weak blue light and the device can play both HDR10 content and HD content from OTT apps thanks to the Wildvine L1 certification.
The Poco X3 is also getting an upgrade for its looks. While you get the same 64MP quad camera stack as the Poco X2, there are a few changes when it comes to the sensors. Poco went for the Sony IMX682 64MP primary sensor with f / 1.89, a 13MP ultra wide angle lens followed by a 2MP depth and a 2MP macro shooter. And instead of the X2’s dual selfie camera, you get a single hole cutout in the middle with a 20-megapixel selfie shooter.
Other features of the device include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP53 splash and dust protection class, two stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5 mm headphone jack and NFC. It will run instantly on Poco Launcher 2.0 on MIUI 12.
The price for the Poco X3 in India is expected to be under Rs 20,000.
