Audi is celebrating the 40th anniversary of quattro with a special model of the TT RS in Germany.
The Audi TT RS ’40 years of quattro ‘, limited to 40 units, has a more radical aero kit, special heritage stickers and a sportier interior. The exterior of all 40 models is available in alpine white paint with decals on the bonnet, shoulders, roof and rear that are reminiscent of the paintwork of the modified Audi Sport quattro S1 that Walter Röhrl drove to victory in the 1
The Audi TT RS ’40 years of quattro ‘also has a special aero kit that was developed in the wind tunnel and is intended to significantly improve aerodynamics and improve performance and handling in fast corners.

The kit includes side skirts in glossy black on the front apron, a front splitter, side skirts, a fixed rear wing, rear spoiler side panels and a chunky diffuser. Another new element is the shiny carbon central vent in the hood, which increases the ventilation of the engine compartment.
The exterior modifications are rounded off by the glossy black door sills, mirror caps, blades and Audi rings as well as the large “quattro” letters on the doors and the “40 years quattro” logo on the partially matt rear side windows. The special edition Audi TT RS drives on exclusive, white painted 20-inch alloys, behind which you can catch a glimpse of the red painted brake calipers.
There are many improvements in the interior of the Audi TT RS ’40 years of quattro ‘that underline the special character of this anniversary model. These include black Alcantara on the door panels and an RS leather sport steering wheel with white 12 o’clock marking, black leather with white contrasting stitching on the center armrest, door armrests and center console, as well as heritage stripes on the alpine white insert of the center console.
The RS sport seats made of black nappa leather have a black Alcantara center section with a white honeycomb pattern and exclusive “40 years of Quattro” embroidery on shoulder height. Other unique details include a numbered badge on the S tronic selector lever and black floor mats with white piping, white contrasting stitching and an embroidered RS badge. Optionally, the back seat can be replaced by a cross brace made of carbon, which reduces the weight by approx. 16 kg and at the same time improves the torsional rigidity.
Under the hood, the 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder turbo engine remains untouched and delivers 400 hp (394 hp) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque and quattro permanent AWD to all four wheels via the seven-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission . The sprint from 0 to 100 km / h takes only 3.7 seconds and the top speed is increased to 280 km / h by default.
The Audi TT RS ’40 years of quattro ‘will be sold in Germany at the end of this month for a whopping 114,040 euros, which corresponds to 133,530 US dollars at current exchange rates.
