The new James Bond trailer "No Time to Die" shows Box 007 against Rami Malek's villain

Bond is reluctant to return. No Time to Die is the 25th installment of the franchise project, which is in its 60's, and is the sixth incarnation of James Bond, Daniel Craig's last appearance as a British spy played. The first trailer arrived on Wednesday.

"Bond has left active duty and enjoys a tranquil life in Jamaica," reads the summary of the film. "His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix CIA Head shows up and asks for help, and the mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more insidious than expected, leading Bond to the trail of a mysterious villain, with which he is armed is dangerous new technology. "

Three recurring performers get their own posters: Ben Wishaw, Daniel Craig and Lea Seydoux.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (director of the Netflix series Maniac and author of It 201

7), the film brings back a lot of familiar faces: Ben Whishaw as Q, Lea Seydoux as Madeline Swann, Ralph Fiennes as M, Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny and Christoph Waltz as Blofeld. The cast is rounded off with new additions from Lashana Lynch (by Captain Marvel), who plays a pretty great 00 agent. Ana de Armas in an unadjusted role as Paloma; and Rami Malek as a seemingly disfigured villain, Safin.

With Blofeld on display in this recent Craig installation, it remains to be seen whether Malek's Safin will act for, with or against the (presumably destroyed) Specter.

And also three newcomers get their own: de Armas, Lynch and Malek.

Earlier this year, Malek told The Mirror that his character had no specific cultural ideology: "I said, 'We can not identify him with terrorist acts that reflect an ideology or a religion, so I would not That's why I'm your choice, then you can count me out, "Malek said." But that was clearly not his vision. So he's a very different kind of terrorist. "

Bond 25 also made waves earlier this year when he took advantage of the Emmy's Queen Phoebe Waller Bridge, which was used for paraphrases and additional Waller-Bridge is not only a successful author (Killing Eve, Fleabag, Crashing), as the BBC notes, but after Johanna Harwood's work on the first two Bond films only the second woman ever written for the spy series , Dr. No, and From Russia With Love.

There is no time to die worldwide in April 2020.
