Redmi 9i will find its position between the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9, both of which were introduced earlier.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Redmi 9i will be presented at an online event in India on September 15th.
  • Before the launch, the price for the Redmi 9i has been leaked and is Rs 7,999.
  • The Redmi 9i sits between the Redmi 9A and the Redmi 9.

Redmi 9i launches next week on Tuesday September 15th. While the company has done its part in building a hype around the Redmi 9i, there is always something special the rumor mill has to offer. Ahead of the launch next week, the price of memory variants and color options for the Redmi 9i have been leaked. And it looks like Redmi Realme is aggressively opposing Realme with a lot of smartphones. The Redmi 9i will be the third in the series after the Redmi 9A, Redmi 9 and Redmi 9 Prime.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, citing tipster Ishan Agarwal, the Redmi 9i will start at 7,999 rupees. This is the price of the base model that Redmi 9i will come in, but there will still be one model. According to the report, Redmi 9i will be available in 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage models. This price seems reasonable considering that the Redmi 9i is between the Redmi 9A (Rs 6,799) and the Redmi 9 (Rs 8,999). The color options, the report says, will be the same as the Redmi 9A: midnight black, sea blue, and natural green.

The Redmi 9i is listed in the Flipkart and Mi online shop, where the device can be purchased online. There is no information on whether offline stores will sell Redmi 9i. You can expect some launch offers to go live with the Redmi 9i on September 15th.

While we seem to have solid information on the Redmi 9i’s price, its specs are still not clear. However, the teasers that Redmi posted on social media confirm certain things. For example, you have a 3.5mm headphone jack on the Redmi 9i, a waterdrop style notch, and a large battery. Redmi has also said that it built a processor on Redmi 9i that is good at handling games and that adjustments will be made to the Redmi 9i camera. Aside from all of this vague information, we don’t have anything specific to report right now.

This could change if there are last minute leaks as the Redmi 9i launches in three days. In any case, all the details will be official at the kick-off event, which starts on September 15th at 12:00 noon. There will be a live stream of the event so you can check out the real-time updates too.
