The release date of Battlefield 5 Firestorm Battle Royale has been announced – but is it too late?



After months of waiting, Battlefield 5 is the Battle Royale mode, Firestorm almost ready for primetime. DICE and EA have announced when the new mode starts, and it's just around the corner. It was somewhat surprising to hear that Firestorm would not start alongside Battlefield 5 (19459003), so we hope the wait will pay off.

Firestorm will be officially launched on March 25 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. When it arrives, players can hop into 64-player multiplayer combat either alone or in groups of four. Although a duo mode will eventually be added to the game, we will not see it until April as part of Fire's Battlefield 5 attempt.

EA and DICE put together a movie trailer for Firestorm which you can see below. It gives us no real insight into the gameplay of Firestorm but it does convey the basic idea well enough. Like other Battle Royale modes, if you try to survive long enough to be the last player (or squad), you will be dropped on a card and must plunder for weapons, armor, and items.

Firestorm gives Battle Royale a little spin with its strong focus on vehicles. Overall, EA and DICE say there are 17 different vehicles in Firestorm ranging from helicopters to tractors, and although we've seen car battles in Battle Royale titles, Battlefield ] It certainly does better than most. There are also targets that must be completed during the Firestorm matches, which can provide rare loot that may deflect a match in your favor.

It sounds like Firestorm is a decent Battle Royale mode, but you have to wonder how much success there can be in this world, in the free-to-play Play the Battle Royale dominate scene. Two of the greatest Battle Royale titles, Fortnite and Apex Legends have the fact that they promote free growth. Can a Battle Royale compete in a paid title?

Blackout did a pretty good job on his launch, but these days all eyes seem to be on Apex Legends which happens to be another battle king title from Electronic Arts. It will be interesting to see how cuts Firestorm on the current battle royale market, but tied to a game that costs $ 60 could be a difficult time growing his pie already crowded room.
