According to iRobot, the i3 + can detect 99 percent of pollen, mold, house dust mites and allergens from cats and dogs. It apparently has 10 times the suction power of the Roomba 600 series and can figure out where dirt is building up so it can focus on those areas.
Like its predecessors, the Roomba i7 + and the s9 +, the i3 + has a cleaning dock called Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, in which the machine automatically empties the collected residues and at the same time acts as a charging station. The Clean Base contains dirt in a bag with four layers of allergen-blocking materials and is large enough to hold dirt and dust for months. It̵
The Roomba i3 + with a clean base is $ 599, while the i3 without a base is $ 399. Both models are available now in the US and Canada on the iRobot website and will be available from various retailers later this month. The Roomba i3 + will be available in other countries sometime in the first quarter of 2021.
