The Sands of Time ‘returns as a remake in early ’21

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was a revelation in 2003. It reinvented a video game series with roots dating back to the late 80s, reinterpreting the original’s mix of puzzles and battles for three-dimensional virtual spaces.

Now, more than 1

7 years later, Ubisoft has a major remake whose development is being led by its studios in Mumbai and Pune. You’ve spent the last two years recreating the game using the same tools that form the basis of modern Assassin’s Creed games, and you can see the results in this first trailer.

Ubisoft hinted at “gameplay adjustments” in a briefing ahead of the reveal on Thursday but went no further. We also learned that Yuri Lowenthal will be back to pronounce the prince. It’s a puzzling decision as the character Farah, an Indian princess, has a new voice actor in Supinder Wraich. Apparently, Ubisoft decided that a white from Tennessee is good enough for a Persian prince. That will be fine for sure.

Toss madness aside The sands of time is a true gaming classic and a lot of people will be amazed by this remake. It will be available for PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One on January 21, 2021.
