Black Friday giveaways have become a tradition for the online sneaker marketplace GOAT. Today the details of this year's campaign will be announced, incorporating augmented reality for the first time.
Communications director Liz Goodno described this as "the biggest digital sneaker event of the year." The company wants to offer more than 1,000 prizes, including sneakers such as the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shattered Backboard, KAWSx Air Jordan 4, Retro Black, Pharrell x BBC x Human Race Trail (Heart / Spirit), and Curated Sneakers -Packs and a credit from GOAT .

All entrants receive 100 tickets, but you can earn bonus tickets by visiting places on an interactive GOAT map that highlights places around the world tied to great athletes of all time and to the history of sneakers. These locations are truly global and include Hong Kong's "Sneaker Street", the Moscone Center in San Francisco (where the iPhone debuted), and the site where Muhammad Ali's historic victory over George Foreman in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was won.
Also on The list includes the Flight Club locations in New York and Los Angeles, the famous sneaker retailer with which GOAT merged earlier this year. GOAT showed AR capabilities last week at an event with Apple at Flight Club New York. The AR elements were created using Apple's ARKit, and it seems that the startup will do more with the technology in the future.
