Just one day after the X Marks The Spot competition started, Telstra announced another gaming initiative in Game Optimiser, which will enter beta on September 22nd and exit beta on November 9th. Anyone who uses a Telstra NBN broadband service with an authorized Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 (check authorization here) can use the service. At the end of the beta, users will get one month for free and then $ 10 per month.
Game Optimiser is based on the DumaOS software (which is used in the Netgear Nighthawk range) and allows you to manually connect to the closest game servers, for example, the bandwidth for certain devices in the house (e.g. your PS4 / Xbox ) Prioritize and check which devices are consuming bandwidth?

- Combat network congestion by giving gaming traffic and its gaming device priority over other Internet-connected devices and Internet traffic in the house (e.g. streaming video).
