The premium pad receives a small discount.
The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has received one of the biggest discounts since its inception, cutting the price of the premium pad by 20 percent.
Even though the Elite 2 has dropped to £ 127, it’s still an all-powerful sting, even if it’s not quite as painful as the full £ 160. So, I can totally understand why you could fail on such a purchase. I mean, it’s still half the price of an entire Xbox Series S console.
For that price, however, you get what Digital Foundry calls the best Xbox and PC controller out there. It’s a tight and responsive gamepad that feels good in the hand and offers a variety of customization options. There’s Bluetooth support so it can be used on PC or playing Xbox titles on the go with Project xCloud. Possibly useful, now included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If Microsoft confirms that all current Xbox accessories will work with the X and S Series, then you will be able to use them on the new consoles as well.
Therefore I think it makes sense to draw your attention to this (admittedly small) discount. Sure, it’s not the bargain of the century, but if you’ve had your eye on the Elite 2 and are ready to splash the cash, this is the controller to blow your money on.
If it’s still too much, understandably you can check out the DF Guide on the Best PC Controller for more cheaper options. Maybe we’ll see an even bigger discount as part of this year’s Xbox Black Friday sales? We can only hope.
