The latest version of Top Gear America will be released in spring 2020 in the streaming app MotorTrend. Previous attempts to capture the flash in a bottle, which is the dream team of Clarkson, Hammond and May, were difficult for the American spectators, although the last attempt with the fast Tanner Foust lasted the last four seasons.
MotorTrend announced this on Tuesday, December 3, on its website. "After a thorough search, we are proud to announce the Top Gear America hosts coming out exclusively for the MotorTrend app in spring 2020: Dax Shepard, Rob Corddry, and Jethro Bovingdon. Or, as they say: two comedians, a guy who is actually British … and the Stig.
The Stig needs no introduction for recurring Top Gear fans. Shepard is a well-known actor from successful series such as Parenthood The Ranch and Bless This Mess (but also known to be married to Kristen Bell)); Corddry is a comedian, correspondent for the Daily Show and actor from films such as Hot Tub Time Machine ; and Bovingdon is a UK-based auto journalist, vehicle tester and occasional participant (and record holder) at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.
It remains to be seen whether the American public will find this program, let alone grow the hosts and realize that the original hosts had the chemistry required. The rather rough history of earlier attempts to bring Top Gear to the States suggests that it will not be easy. This time, under the MotorTrend Steam Service, if you are patient enough, there is a good chance that these three parts will become staple foods for America's transmissions. Top Gear is a popular British automobile show that features reports of automobiles, wild automobile adventures, racing and unlikely situations. First shown on BBC Television in the UK in 1
