It looked like Twitter would finally allow users to edit their tweets. Users noticed on Sunday afternoon that if you delete a tweet reply and try to reply again, the “deleted” text will reappear so you can fix errors and resend. The edgeTom Warren showed how it works:
But on Sunday evening a Twitter spokeswoman gave us the sad news that it was just a mistake.

Editable Tweets are something that Twitter users have been looking for and asking Twitter to implement. Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, reports that Twitter “probably never” would introduce an edit button. However, Twitter recently rolled out other coveted features including providing the response limiting feature to all users to give users more control over their conversations.
