Twitter seems to be testing an editing feature, but it’s not quite what you might expect

It looks like Twitter is finally allowing users to edit their tweets. Users noticed on Sunday afternoon that if you delete a tweet reply and try to reply again, the “deleted” text will reappear so you can fix errors and resend. The Verge’s Tom Warren demonstrated how it works:

Other users (including myself) were unable to duplicate this action, but it is possible that Twitter is slowly introducing it (if it is doing so at all).

Editable Tweets are something that Twitter users have been looking for and asking Twitter to implement. Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, reports that Twitter would “probably never”

; introduce a delete button. However, Twitter recently rolled out other coveted features including providing the response limiting feature to all users to give users more control over their conversations.

We reached out to Twitter for more information and will update this post as soon as we hear something.
