Uber offers its top drivers a free college

Uber's rewards have some important limitations. Free Classes It only applies to the cost of online courses at Arizona State University. While the offer can be transferred to a family member – spouse, domestic partner, child, sibling, parent, guardian, or relative – the ride will only cover the cost of one person. Motorists will receive a 5% refund on gas purchases if they use an Uber Visa Debit Card . Uber's offer of 25 percent for vehicle maintenance only applies to approved stores (nationwide there are approximately 20,000 per Uber).

Offers are not available to all drivers entering Uber Pro. The program has a graduated reward system. The driver collects points by making rides, and these points can be redeemed for specific offers. In a preview image, it also looks like the driver has to earn points to stay in the current reward level. This system will certainly encourage drivers to take to the streets regularly. Uber said BuzzFeed that half of the drivers who qualify for Uber Pro drive less than 30 hours a week, which means that about half treat Uber driving as a full-time job, even though they are often underpaid.

To qualify for Uber Pro, drivers must have a customer rating of 4.85 or higher. If they fall below the threshold, they have a chance to raise their score again before they are booted. If you fall below 4.75, they are completely excluded from the program. Leaked internal diagrams published by Business Insider show that a large number of Uber drivers are between 4.70 and 4.80.

Uber Pro will first launch in Seattle, Chicago, New Orleans, New Jersey, Orlando, USA. Tampa, Phoenix and Denver. Drivers who have fulfilled the requirements for the program in the last three months will be enrolled automatically. Uber intends to roll out Uber Pro to other markets in the near future.
