Ubisoft Brings Scott Pilgrim Vs. The world game back from the dead

The return of the Scott Pilgrim connection game was just one of the announcements of the latest Ubisoft Forward event.

During the showcase, the publisher announced that it would sell Scott Pilgrim Vs. Die Welt: The game for Christmas.

If you̵

7;re wondering why people are doing such a big deal with a simple side-scrolling slap that fits the movie, it’s because this game not only has a fairly dedicated fan base, but it has been absent for six years.

Originally released in 2010, the game was a purely digital version for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and was delisted in 2014 for licensing reasons.

Since then, there has been a huge demand from fans and those who never had a chance to play it for Ubisoft to republish the game. Even Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel, wanted it.

As this year marks the 10th anniversary of the game and movie release, Ubisoft has decided to take the opportunity to release a full edition of the game.

Aside from the base game, where up to four players can work together to take to the streets and help Scott defeat his new girlfriend’s seven evil exes, you also get access to the additional character DLC for Knives and Wallace, with which you can access the character list Seven.

The game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia, although it will still only be available digitally. Hopefully Ubisoft won’t delete it again in a couple of years.

That being said, Ubisoft’s other big announcement was the remake of Prince Of Persia: The Sands of Time, although that was leaked before the event.

Watch Dogs: Legion received two new trailers that confirmed additional playable characters, fan favorite (?) Aiden Pierce from the first game and rapper Stormzy.

The next season of Rainbow Six: Siege has been spiced up with an animated trailer with guest star Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell series, and it has been confirmed that the game will also be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

The redesigned Gods & Monsters have also received a new trailer and gameplay material under the new name Immortals Fenyx Rising. It’s coming to current and next-gen platforms on December 3rd.

A huge multiplayer online extreme sports game called Riders Republic featuring snowboarding, downhill biking, skiing and a lot more has been announced and is already confirmed for February 25th.

AGOS: A Game Of Space was released as a VR title and will be released on October 28th for Oculus Rift, Valve Index, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality.

Numerous other titles also had new content updates such as For Honor, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and The Division 2.

Ahead of the presentation, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot also addressed the recent controversies surrounding workplace toxicity and sexual harassment, which resulted in many employees leaving the company, including some executives.
