Unannounced OnePlus Buds Z with the latest tip for OxygenOS 11 Beta, 8K 960fps may be in the works

The OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 1 update was recently made available for the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 users. This public update reportedly includes several lines in his code that reveal upcoming features and a possible new product. The code of this latest beta mentions the unannounced OnePlus Buds Z and hints at an imminent launch. It has also been mentioned that OnePlus is working on 8K 960fps video recording and instances of OnePlus 8T have also been discovered.

XDA developers got a deep dive into the camera app included in OxygenOS 11 Beta 1 for OnePlus 8. The code contains lines that show that OnePlus is working on 8K 960fps video recording. Currently, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 series flagship is equipped with the Spectra 480 ISP capable of recording 720p 960fps videos. At 8K resolution, this newest IP can only manage 30 fps. To enable 960 fps on 8k video recording, OnePlus needs to incorporate a different set of hardware or software into its phones. This feature may be used in future versions of the phone with Qualcomm̵

7;s next generation SoC and ISP.

The Open Beta update also reportedly mentions the unreleased OnePlus Buds Z in the /vendor/etc/dolby/dax-default.xml file. This could be the successor to the OnePlus Buds TWS, which was introduced in July this year. Unfortunately, the code says little else about the unannounced hearing aids.

A OnePlus 8T image was recently released in the latest Android 11 Developer Preview for OnePlus 8 series. Now the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 1 update has renamed the name of the render file in the “Settings” app to “oneplus_kebab.webp”. Strings in the Settings app also suggest that the OnePlus 8T is called the Kebab for regions in Canada and India, and the Kebabt for regions in the US. The ‘T’ update is expected to be released in late September.
