Vivo recently announced that it has been developing its own sensor for a year.

Vivo claims the new RGBW sensor will collect 15 percent more light than the RYYB sensors used by Huawei, and it won’t be prone to color cast issues like the latter either.
In the report, Vivo added that the devices with the new RGBW sensor are in development and will hit the market as early as next year.
In addition to announcing the new sensor, Vivo also announced a partnership with National Geographic to launch the Vision + Mobile Photography Awards.
A report in Android community Vivo isn’t the smartphone company that uses RGBW technology. Sony has already applied it to the Xperia cameras and collects more light compared to the traditional RGB matrix.
This isn’t the only technology Vivo is working on. The smartphone Company recently also confirmed that he’s working on a smartphone that changes the color of his back. Vivo confirmed that electrochromic glass will be used to perform the color change. The glass is made of a color-changing material that changes its color tones with the help of voltage changes.
