You will notice some visual improvements the first time you install it. Specifically, your home screen looks like very different, with an app library, widgets everywhere, and a new look for Siri. But at first you may be wondering How You can install them. Anyone with an iPhone 6S or later (including the iPhone SE 2016) can now download iOS 14. For the tablets you need an iPad Air 2 or newer, an iPad Mini 4 or newer, an iPad of the 5th generation or newer. All iPad Pro models can now also install iPadOS 14.
Now, before installing, make sure to back up your device. (We have a guide that can help!) Once you do that, the rest is very simple. Open that the settings App, tap General, and then Software update. Your device will check for an update and then download it. It will take a few minutes and will restart automatically. So make sure to initiate this if you are not doing anything important.
As a piece of advice, the first version of new Apple updates may still have some bugs. It is safest to wait a day or two to see if there are any reports of any major problems. If not, you can simply rely on the installation. Now for the news.
