This story is part of Apple event, our full coverage of the latest news from Apple headquarters.

This fall, Apple’s new service package Apple One combines various subscription combinations, including Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, Apple News Plus, the iCloud storage service and the newly introduced Apple Fitness Plus at one price. The move, announced at Apple’s online event on Tuesday, follows Apple’s increased investment in services over the past three years. Everything you need to know about Apple One is here, including its cost, free trials, the different plans and services available. Signing up will save you money.

What is Apple One?

Apple One is a subscription service that bundles Apple’s existing services and allows you to pay a monthly price to get multiple services at the same time. It’s similar in some ways to Amazon’s Prime services. You don’t have to subscribe to Apple One to access these services. If you’re just interested in the Apple TV Plus, you can pay the $ 4.99 per month for it as usual.

When will Apple One be available?

Apple One will hit the market sometime this fall, according to Apple executives, but we don’t know the exact date yet.

What does Apple One cost? Is there a free trial version?

Apple One offers three different plans (see below) that range from $ 14.95 per month to $ 29.95 per month. A free 30-day trial is available.

What do the different Apple One plans include?

The three plans differ in the number of services, the number of people who can access them, and the amount of iCloud storage offered. This is how they break down:

  • Individual plan: $ 14.95 (£ 14.95, AU $ 19.95) per month for four services for one person: Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, and iCloud (50 gigabytes of storage)
  • Family plan: $ 19.95 (£ 19.95, AU $ 25.95) for four services for six family members: Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, and iCloud (200GB of storage)
  • Premier Plan: $ 29.95 (£ 29.95, AU $ 39.95) for six services for six family members: Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, iCloud (2 terabytes of storage), Apple News Plus, and Apple Fitness Plus (in the 100 countries and regions where they are available) are available)

What does each service include?

Here’s what you get with each service available in the Apple One plans and how much they cost individually in the US:

Apple Music: Apple’s music streaming service alternative to Spotify includes 70 million songs by popular artists with no ads.

Standalone cost: $ 9.99 per month for individuals; $ 14.99 per month family.

Apple TV Plus: Apple’s movie and TV streaming service now features 30 original shows, including comedies, dramas, documentaries, and talk shows.

Standalone cost: $ 4.99 per month.

Apple Arcade: Apple’s mobile game subscription service includes more than 130 games that you can play on iPhone ($ 699 on Amazon), iPad ($ 285 at Back Market), Mac, iPod Touch ($ 118 in the Back Market) and Apple TV ($ 179 at Apple).

Standalone cost: $ 4.99 per month.

iCloud storage: Apple’s cloud storage service automatically gives you 5 gigabytes of free space and can upgrade to make more space for your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac or PC.

Standalone Costs: Free for up to 5GB or 99 cents per month for 50GB, $ 2.99 per month for 200GB, or $ 9.99 per month for 2TB.

Apple News Plus: Apple’s messaging service gives you access to articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers.

Standalone cost: $ 9.99 per month.

Apple Fitness Plus: Apple’s new fitness streaming service, launching this fall, offers guided workouts for the Apple Watch ($ 399 at Apple), similar to Peloton Digital and Fitbit Premium.

Standalone cost: $ 9.99 per month.

Apple’s Fitness Plus workout streaming service will launch later this year.

Will Subscribing to Apple One Save Me Money?

It depends on how many of the above services you have already subscribed to (or plan to subscribe to). If you subscribed to each one individually, you’d be paying at least $ 40 a month, so even the Premier plan is worth it.

According to Apple, the Apple One Individual plan offers savings of over $ 6 per month over standard monthly rates, while the Family plan offers savings of over $ 8 per month, and the Premier plan offers savings of over $ 25 per month or more $ 300 a year.

The service that people most care about is the least noticeable: iCloud Photo and Backup Service. It’s already a popular service that is practically required by anyone who saves photos, videos, or downloads music. If you’re already paying $ 9.99 a month for 2TB of iCloud storage and also subscribing to Apple Music, for example, the Premier plan might be worth it to get both that and the rest.
