Who doesn’t want their Echo Dot to look like Baby Yoda?

I can tell you many things about the new Otterbox stand for the Amazon Echo Dot Smart Speaker of the third generation. I could tell you something about the “durable materials” or how it is designed to keep your Echo device “safe”. The Amazon list even claims that the “precise, non-slip base” is “designed for optimal audio output”.

But you and I both know that none of this is really important, because what’s really important here is that this base attaches tiny tiny Emmy-nominated Baby Yoda * ears to the sides of your Echo Dot. If you want to pretend you are actually talking to you The Mandalorian Every time you ask Alexa to set a timer, this is (probably) the easiest way to do it.

It is apparently “designed for optimal audio output”.

The stand is manufactured by Otterbox, a company known primarily for its smartphone cases, but which has also brought out a number of interesting gadget accessories over the years. There are the stackable wireless chargers that were announced last year, or the cell phone cases that came with PopSockets-style built-in PopGrips.

The Baby Yoda Amazon Echo Stand by OtterBox can now be pre-ordered from Amazon. The release is expected for $ 24.95 on August 20. For those who keep track, that’s a little less than half the cost of the Amazon Echo Dot. The stand is only designed for the third generation smart speaker.

* Yes, I know that the character is technically called “The Child”, but please, I’m begging you to live a little.
