In 2019, Apple announced a new sign-in feature, similar to the ubiquitous Facebook and Google buttons on the internet, designed to help people with iPhones, iPads, and Macs create and log into their accounts on other websites and apps more easily. Now that feature is caught in the crossfire between Apple and Fourteen days Manufacturer Epic Games.
On September 9th, Epicin two days, further affecting the ability of some players to use the app. Apple kicked Fortnite out of its iPhone and iPad app store in August over a money dispute. Then it revoked Epic’s ability to release other games, such as the popular Infinity Blade series, which first released a decade ago. Epic has asked a federal court to force Apple to reverse its decisions.
Meanwhile,on their iPhones or iPads and cannot update their copy of the game when new features and storylines are released.
