This week, Apple started rolling out a new update for its augmented reality tool, Quick Look, that allows iPhone and iPad users to check out products in AR and then buy them straight away.
With Quick Look, retailers can already AR preview their products by uploading a flat sticker or 3D product model so buyers can see what a product might look like in a real space. According to TechCrunch retailers can add a new button to this AR preview that, for example, enables a customer to purchase this product immediately using Apple Pay.
Home Depot, Wayfair and 1-800 flowers already support Quick Look according to TechCrunch . So if you want to buy flowers you can see what the vase and bouquet on a table could look like or you can see what this new Wayfair couch could look like in your living room.
