A single mom looking to break the record for the world’s smallest waistline has revealed that she wears a corset 18 hours a day to shrink her already tiny 21.5-inch torso.
Sammy Wilson, 26, of Georgia, started waist training in April 2019 to add some curves to her body after losing weight. She can now squeeze into a 15-inch corset and is determined to reduce her 21.5-inch waist to 14 inches.
“I want to have the smallest waist in the world,” she explained. “When I get down to 14 inches, my waistline is about the size of the average newborn’s head and an inch smaller than the current world record.”
Goal: Sammy Wilson, 26, from Georgia, wants to have the smallest waistline in the world
Tiny: The single mother fits into a 15-inch corset (picture) that she wears 18 hours a day
Say what? Sammy’s waist is 21.5 inches without the corset, but she wants to make it even smaller
The Guinness World Record for the smallest waistline in a living person is currently held by Cathie Jung, who has a 15-inch waist.
Two years ago, Sammy weighed 198 pounds and was a size 16, but she was miserable with her build and desperate to transform her 35-inch waistline.
The mother, who has a son, Gabriel, started losing weight in December 2018. She fell back to a slim size 6 in just four months but was still dissatisfied with her boxy waist.
After seeing the results of another woman’s waist training online, the young mom bought her first corset, which was 22 inches tall.
Relapse: Just two years ago, Sammy weighed 198 pounds and was wearing a size 16
Dedicated: She was miserable with her physique and was dying to transform her 35-inch waistline. She started losing weight in December 2018 and was size 6 in four months
Sammy started waist training in April 2019 because she was unhappy with her boxy body after losing weight. Now Sammy weighs 116 pounds, wears a size 00 and has a 21.5 inch waist
Plan: Sammy wants to drop her waistline to 14 inches so she can break the Guinness World Record for the smallest waistline on any living person
“When I started I just wanted to try to get a 20-inch corset, but when I got there I just wanted to keep going,” she said.
Now Sammy weighs 116 pounds, wears a size 00 and has a 21.5 inch waist. To try to shrink her waist even further, she wears her 15-inch corset 18 hours a day and leaves it on for 36 hours straight once a month.
“Despite people’s concerns, I think it has benefited my health massively,” she said. “I used to have a terrible binge eating, but I just can’t eat while wearing this. It helps my posture so that I don’t get a hump in old age and it is very good for my metabolism.
“My family has been very supportive and my friends tell me I am unrecognizable,” she added. “My mother even wants me to get her a corset. I am definitely more confident now than ever.
Rationale: “When you’re thin and pretty, life is so much easier,” she said

Backlash: Sammy admitted that some people would call her a “freak” and ask her why she was doing this to herself, but she shrugged off the negativity
“Everyone wants to be remembered for something, and I just want something to smile about and know that nobody else did.”
While the lab technician claims she never felt better in her tight-fitting garment, she admitted that she is often negatively rated by onlookers who see her on the street.
“When I go shopping, people stare and sometimes even stop and ask me questions about how small my waist is and ask if it hurts,” she said.
“Some people say I’m weird, call me a freak and ugly, or ask me why I would do this to myself. But I don’t know how people can say it’s dangerous, it’s actually very convenient.
“When you’re thin and pretty, life is so much easier,” she added. “More people want to get me out and more people notice me. I just wanna see how far I can go ‘
