Make sure you clean your Echo properly.

Your Amazon Echo isn't moving too much ̵

1; in fact, you're probably giving Alexa commands without ever looking at it. However, this means that the dust layer and other coarse clumps that have formed over time can easily be neglected. The good news is that you can clean your speaker thoroughly so that it looks new and sounds good again.

Microfiber cloths, a lint roller and a vacuum cleaner with smaller attachments (how you would clean your laptop) These tips apply to almost all echo speakers of which those with fabric covers such as the Echo Dot the touchscreen Echo Show and the plastic Echo Input and devices of the second generation.

Lightly tap your Echo device.

If your Echo speaker is very dusty, do yourself a favor and cover your nose and mouth with a medical face mask. After all, you don't want to inhale anything that comes from your device. Next, you should tap the speaker lightly to remove any loose debris on the surface. Make sure you do this over a trash can to avoid creating dust everywhere. You should still plan to vacuum the area after deep cleaning.

Use a toothpick to dig crumbs out of small spaces.

If you've ever touched the buttons on your Echo device after swallowing crackers or something else that produced tiny crumbs, pieces of food are probably jammed in the buttons.

Use a toothpick to scrape them out. If they're pinched there, you may need to use a sharper object like the edge of a business card. We recommend that you do not use knives or objects that could scratch the speaker or possibly injure you.

Pass a lint roller over the cloth.

If your Amazon Echo ($ 100 at Amazon) has a fabric cover, use a lint roller to grasp dust and particles on the cloth. You should rub it lightly over the fabric to prevent the dirt from getting deeper into the fabric. Since the fabric is woven, the entire mass is not recorded, but everything remains on the top.

Use small vacuum cleaner attachments.

Possibly there are crumbs or deposits in the material of the loudspeaker. A lint roller alone cannot reach. All you have to do is use the small attachments on your vacuum cleaner to vacuum all the dirt. This should remove almost all of the dust and food stuck to your Echo speaker.

Wipe it off with a microfiber cloth.

After removing all dust and dirt from your Echo, take a microfiber cloth and wipe it thoroughly to catch everything you missed. The cloth must be dry when cleaning the speaker to avoid damage or water stains.

You can use a slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the plastic parts and the touchscreen (at Echo Show (USD 230 at Amazon) ). This should catch everything that has gotten sticky on your device, e.g. B. fat or sugar.

Never use this method to clean your Amazon Echo much liquid that is not water – and then only sparingly so that you do not get any liquid in the device.
  • Don't let your Amazon Echo run under the tap – it will ruin your speaker.
